ORDER CONDITIONS
The above is our interpretation of your requirements and is for your checking. Please allow sufficient quantity to cover potential waste and breakage.
To be dispatched for unloading by the customer or his agent at the nearest hard road to the delivery address as above. Delivery will be (Building Industry holidays excluded), as soon as possible. However, we have noted your request regarding delivery and will endeavour to comply. Please advise us in writing by return should you require notice of delivery at the time of dispatch, or if there are any times when deliveries would not be convenient (i.e. ‘early closing’, local holidays, etc). Any request for delivery to be deferred will result in additional charges being made for storage. The date of invoicing will not be affected by such a deferral, and therefore the settlement of our invoice will remain in accordance with our standard terms.
Our terms include nett payment within 30 days from date of invoice, subject to credit checks and our granting of a full or part credit facility. If your company is not on our list of active credit accounts or if a credit account facility is not available, proforma payment would be required. A new account facility will not be available for orders below £1,000.00 excluding VAT. It is a condition of our acceptance of your order that no contra changes are made, or rights to set off claimed, regarding any other transaction. Furthermore your attention is specifically drawn to the terms printed on the reverse of the first page, which are hereby incorporated into this contract.
Slate is a natural product therefore please take into account the following:
Variations in shading, texture & thickness can occur, exact conformity to samples supplied prior to the order being placed cannot be guaranteed; following installation all natural slates weather over a period of time, some more quickly and less evenly than others, however this is an aesthetic feature and will not affect their functionality; when calculating the quantity of slates required for a given area an element must be added to allow for waste & breakage. For further guidance and information please contact a member of our sales team.
Most components are cut to order. Therefore we are not able to consider any reduction in quantity, cancellation of order or the return of components surplus to requirements.
Please note goods delivered by ourselves require careful unloading by the customer or his agent. Standard components, although heavy, are smoothly finished and responsibility for any damage caused through rough handling remains with the customer.
